Washboard Rodeo is thrilled to be headlining the Lagniappe Stage at Jazz Fest on Sunday 4/29 at 5:25PM. We will not disappoint! We've been refining our sound and style for two solid years and will have you on your feet, swinging and shaking down until sundown. You won't want to miss!

Dust off your boots and grab your rope... After a long hot summer Washboard Rodeo is coming back to New Orleans!
We killed it at our last show in June at the Cajun-Country Fais Do Do, and we're ready to do it again.

May 30th 2010 -WBR Website is Live!
The Rodeo finally has a home of our own! Just in time for some nice press from Where Y'At's Carolyn Heneghan who reviews our new CD in the June issue of Where Y'At magazine. In addition, WBGO's Josh Jackson who gives a quick mention of Washboard Rodeo in his May 24th Treme post (read to the end).
Who is Washboard Rodeo?
An all-star line up of veteran New Orleans musicians
playing Western Swing with a Crescent City style. Featuring a
repertoire consisting of greats like Bob Wills, Milton Brown,
Spade Cooley and Cliff Bruner, Washboard Rodeo brings us back to better days.
Rounding out their sound are influences from city swing classics like Cab Calloway, Count Basie and The Cats and the Fiddle. Read Chaz's introduction on our About Us page.
March 18th 2010 -Washboard Rodeo CD Release Party
The Washboard Rodeo CD Release Party at Maison 508 was rockin! We packed the place, and the show went on until the wee hours.

May 21st 2008 -First Washboard Rodeo Review
A great write up penned by Jason Songe after the Rodeo's debut at the Circle Bar in 2008. Jason says:
"I enjoyed how the music slipped in and out of styles so easily and without head-scratching. The up tempo songs could have been straight from a Jazz Vipers set, the middle tempo ones felt like waltzes, and the slower ballads really drew on the band's country influence."
